25th Annual Delano 4th of July Run Postponed!

The last couple of years have seen many changes to the annual 4th of July race. ChampionChip timing, new route, change in distance, wheelchair racers, money raised for needy families, and a record number of racers!

Safety is our first and foremost goal with our race. This year with the substantial amount of construction in Delano, forcing a change in the parade route due to the Highway 12 detour, we feel as a committee that the safety of our runners will be compromised. Our run is a longstanding tradition with our 4th of July festival, however, tradition cannot outweigh safety.

Therefore, the 25th running of the 4th of July 5K run has been postponed until 2009.

Keep running and make sure to join us for the 4th of July Celebration in 2009. We will be back and ready to race!
