The countdown begins as the 2010 season is quickly approaching. The Athletics look forward to another great season at the ballpark as it gets underway Sunday, May 2 at Delano Municipal Stadium against the Howard Lake Orphans. Visit the Athletics website for more information about the team.

Red Cross Blood Drive

When: Tuesday, March 9
Where: Delano United Methodist Church
Time: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The American Red Cross will be out for our annual March 'O' Blood Drive. We will be calling O blood types to set up appointments but will welcome any blood types to come and donate on this date. Appointment are every 15 minutes.

• 16-year olds may now donate blood. Parents must sign a consent form, prior to the
16-year-old donating. The signed form must be brought to the blood drive the day of the
event. Call the number listed below in order to receive the form and other important
information about donating blood.

• Donors who have had cancer may be eligible to donate again. The guidelines state that
at least one year must have passed since the donor’s last cancer treatment. Donors must
be reinstated before they will be eligible to participate in the March blood drive.

questions. Please, consider giving someone the gift of life.

Delano Youth Baseball & Softball Signup Underway

Between now and March 1st you can sign up your kids for the summer softball and baseball program. There will be a walk in registration on Feb. 20th at the State Bank of Delano from 8am-12noon. You can also send in your forms to DYBSA PO box 63 Delano, MN 55328 by March 1st. After that date there will be an additional $10 fee added to the registrations. You can print off the form and find out more information about the different age levels at www.delanorecreation.com and click on athletic associations.

Mark your calendar for the following evaluations dates that will be held at the Tiger Activity Center:

Baseball: each one runs from 7:30-10:00pm

March 9th 13-14 yrs old

March 16th 9-10 yrs old

March 18th 11-12 yrs old

Softball: each one runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm

March 4th 11-12 yrs old (12U)

March 8th 13-14 yrs old (14U)
